SUMMER CAMP

​

We are excited to offer a summer dance camp this year with Miss Tana. The camp will be August 15 - 17 with dancers aged 6 to 11 in the morning (9 am - 12:30 pm) and dancers aged 12 and up in the afternoon (1:00 - 4:30 pm). The classes will include Stretching & Warm Up Techniques, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical, and Cool Down. Please see below for Tana’s bio. Registration is $100 if paid before June 30th and $120 if paid after.

  • Note that you do not need to be a current member of the WDA to attend.

Tana’s Bio:


Tana grew up on a farm in Alberta and began dancing at age 4. Her deep passion for dance led her to a professional career of dancing on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, travelling to China to tour in a Hip Hop crew with Third Street Beat and making it to the top 100 dancers on So You Think You Can Dance Canada Season 2.

She has trained extensively with Shelley Tookey from Edmonton and top choreographers from L.A such as Sabrina Phillips, Christina Woodard, former Michael Jackson back up dancer Eddie Garcia and Gus Bembery just to name a few. Additionally she trained in Salsa with Bravo Dance Company's 5 time World Salsa Champion, Alfonso Caldera. Tana has completed Harbour Dance Centre's Intensive Training program and was a part of The Source Dance Company out of Vancouver, BC led by Joanne Pesusich.

She has been teaching dance, yoga and fitness for over 15 years. The various styles of dance she offers is Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Salsa and Sexy Stilettos classes. She also holds additional certifications which includes 500 hour Registered Yoga Teacher, Prenatal Yoga Teacher, PŪR Barre Fitness, TRX and Zumba Instructor.

She strongly believes in healthy living, believing in yourself, the power of connection, family and showing compassion and kindness to all. "It brings me so much joy to see my students develop their confidence, creativity and self-expression through the form of dance"

Tana currently resides in Vancouver, BC where she continues to train and develop her skills and pursue her love for teaching.
